Diamonds

No. Diamonds that are naturally colored outside the normal color range are called fancy colored diamonds. FTC does not provide guidelines for using the term “fancy color” in the United States. However, the general agreement in international trade is that fancy colored diamonds are yellow or brown diamonds that are more colored than the Z master stone, or have a color other than yellow or brown. ..

The depth of the pavilion is the length from the bottom of the girdle to the curette, and if the pavilion is too shallow or too deep, light can escape from the sides of the stone or leak from the bottom. In a well-cut diamond, more light will pass through the crown.
Weights such as 0.5 carat, 0.75 carat, and 1 carat are considered “magic size”. Visually, there is little difference between a 0.99 carat diamond and one carat. However, the prices of the two can be very different.
Certificates are known by wholesalers, retailers, and consumers as diamond grading reports or diamond dossier. The certificate states the exact dimensions, weight, cut and overall quality of the diamond. Certificates are a very useful tool for identifying stones to show the individual characteristics of a diamond. When you are buying loose diamonds, keep in mind that grading reports can help you make informed decisions about which stone is right for you.
The world’s most acclaimed authority on diamonds and colored stones is called GIA. Three to six separate gemologists evaluate all diamonds individually to obtain an accurate final grade, and GIA is evaluated. Throughout the world of diamonds, the GIA Grading Report is considered a testament to integrity. Two different types of reports are published by GIA. The fully published GIA report is one of the most common reports. Includes a complete description of the diamond and a plot of its stone grade, setting, and transparency characteristics. This report is typically used for diamonds of 1 carat or more. For diamonds less than 1 carat, the second type of report is used. See GIA Dosier for more information on each graded diamond. However, in Dosier, the laser inscription registration number has replaced the plot normally displayed in the report. The registration number was stamped on the diamond griddle so you can see the stone without mapping it to be included. This method saved GIA the time and money it took to publish a complete report on small diamonds.
As with color scales, GIA’s clarity grading system was developed because jewelers used potentially misleading terms such as “loupe clean” and “piqué.” Nowadays, terms such as VVS1 and SI2 should be used even if the jeweler speaks a language other than English (such as Japanese or French), such as when buying a diamond abroad
Small crystals can be trapped inside the diamond during formation. As the crystal grows, the atomic structure can become irregular.
The modern carat system started with locust beans. Early gem traders used small, uniform beans as the weight for their balances. Carats represent the same gram weight anywhere in the world.
Before GIA generalized the D to Z color grading scale, all systems were roughly used. Classification by A, B, C without clear definition, descriptive such as Arabic numerals (0, 1, 2, 3), Roman numerals (I, II, III), “gem blue”, “blue white” Terms and so on. These were misunderstood and did not have a good reputation. Therefore, the creators of the GIA color scale wanted to create something new that was not related to the previous system. Therefore, the GIA scale starts at D. Very few people still stick to other grading systems. No other system is as clear and generally accepted as the GIA scale.

Ring & size

Some rings cannot be resized. This may be due to size restrictions, out of range, or design style. It is important to know that the new ring may not look “exactly” with the original ring, as minor variations can occur. When you receive and inspect the ring, you will be notified before any work is done to discuss the ring resizing process.
